Why You Should Be Worried About Mold In Your Workplace--Facility and safety managers face every day struggles concerning mold and other indoor air quality issues. Guidance exists to help combat mold-related problems in the workplace, but you can deal with most mold problems by using some commonsense approaches.

Do You Have a Mold Problem? Tips to Find Out--Make sure that your workplace environment is not a love-nest for mold. With good mold management practices such as adequate air ventilation, control of moisture, and maintenance of acceptable temperature and relative humidity you can ensure that mold will find your facility a rather unpleasant place to roost. One tip for ventilation and replacement of air is that for every cubic foot or meter of air exhausted, a cubic foot or meter of air must enter the building.

Simplifying Secondary Containment at SPCC-Regulated Facilities --All SPCC-facilities must have adequate secondary containment to prevent oil spills from reaching navigable waters. If you are responsibile for describing the secondary containment systems in your facility's SPCC plan, you know it's not as easy as it may sound.

Calculating Secondary Containment for Your SPCC Plan -- Although not required in the SPCC regulations, documentation of secondary containment calculations should be included in plans to demonstrate compliance to an EPA inspector.

Reduce Waste at Work -- You can reduce waste at your facility or office but using some of these tried and true ideas.
